Mani Ratnam is understood for selecting virgin and picturesque locations to shoot his movies. And the newest news is that he has left for the islands of Andaman and Nicobar to shoot a section of his forthcoming flick, Kadal.A source reveals, “The director, along side Gautham and Tulasi, left for Andaman yesterday. He's going to be shooting certain important sequences with the lead actors within the interiors of the island. Plans are directly to shoot a song besides. They are going to be back within the city only after 15 days.”
Some of the opposite locations by which the film have been shot till now include Manapad in Thoothukudi and the backwaters and forts in Kochi. The film, which also stars Arjun, Arvind Swamy, Pasupathy and Lakshmi Manchu, has music by A R Rahman.
Meanwhile, we hear that Tulasi was training rigorously for her role within the film. The actress, who replaced Samantha last month, has undergone a whole image makeover. “She is a splitting image of her mother, Radha. Mani has assigned among the finest instructors within the field to coach her for her role, and get her into perfect shape. And Tulasi has made best use of this chance as she was dedicating the past one month just for the fitness programme,” the source reveals.
