She admits that acting have been so much harder than she had imagined in the beginning. Making her full-fledged debut playing the role of an innocent police constable in Bala’s ‘Avan Ivan’, Janani Iyer says that modelling made her comfortable on sets, but acting is a special ball game altogether.“Modelling was far easier than acting in my first movie, and that i was very nervous at the sets, being the one newcomer in Avan Ivan. However, Bala sir and my co-actors Arya and Vishal made me feel extremely comfortable, without worrying concerning the collection of takes I WISHED for every shot,” Janani admits.
In town to felicitate the winners of the first-ever ad sms contest conducted by Qube Cinema Network, Janani also spoke about her favourite actresses, who've inspired her to get into acting.
“It was my childhood dream to be an actress, and Sridevi was the easiest combination of beauty and acting talent for me, growing up. Whilst you bring to mind Moondram Pirai, it still is Sridevi that involves mind, as she was perfect for the role. Aishwarya Rai is my other favourite,” she says.
Janani will next be seen in debutant director Aslam’s Paagan, a romantic comedy.
