The latest buzz within the industry is that actor Ajith have been approached to do a cameo in Sridevi’s comeback film, English Vinglish.A source says, “The film, directed by Gauri Shinde and produced by Balki, is being made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. While Amitabh Bachchan has done a guest appearance within the Hindi version, the makers wanted an equally big star from the south for the Tamil and Telugu versions.”
The buzz is, they first approached Rajinikanth for the character, as he has already worked with Sridevi in different films. “But he was unable to shoot then because he was recuperating after a bout of illness. The following option was Ajith. However, he hasn’t shot for the film yet.”
A source from the film’s unit confirms, “Ajith have been approached for a cameo in our film, but we haven’t shot with the actor yet. The talks are on with him, and a pair of other top stars. We don’t wish to throw around names now. An official announcement can be made by August 14.”
Interestingly, Ajith has made cameos in different films for his friends. He even appeared as Suseema in Santosh Sivan’s Bollywood flick, Asoka.
