Kumki -The mother of all audio launches!

The audio launch of Thirrupathy Brothers Kumki, was of the grandest and most well conducted film events held in recent times.As a launch film for a brand new hero it couldn’t get bigger than this. Vikram Prabhu who's debuting as hero is star material and couldn’t have asked for more! In spite of everything who might be so lucky as to have 2 living legends Rajni and Kamal to launch the audio of his film? But being the grandson of Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan, and son of Prabhu, Vikram has everything going for him right now.

A concert of the film songs was on as guests trickled in and filled the large hall. Two songs and a trailer were shown. Sukumar’s breathtaking camerawork came in for far praise. D Imman is teaming up with Prabhu Solomon again after Mynaa and has composed 6 songs. Aiyoyo and Sollitaley which have been filmed on Vikram and Laxmi Menon were screened.

Gautham Menon welcomed the collection with a unprecedented singing of apt songs as he invited each celebrity on stage. Surya received the audio while Satyaraj and Karthi wished the team except Balaji Saktivel, Pandiraj and others.

Rajni revealed that though he usually avoids film functions he had changed his mind and decided to return on the last minute since this was a function of a very powerful member of the film family, namely Sivaji’s grandson.

Kamal got emotional and recalled his close ties to Sivaji. “We are seeing today what he couldn't in his lifetime. I'VE tears of joy,” he said. Despite the massive turnout of celebs there has been pin drop silence because the stalwarts spoke and no noise and hooting was heard right through.

The warmth and genuinely heartfelt wishes for Prabhu Solomon’s team and Vikram, from all of the speakers, was apparent for all to peer. Even Karthi broke right into a song ‘olimayamaana edhirkaalam…’ for his friend Vikram!

After the development Prabhu revealed to the media that the CM Selvi Jayalalitha phoned Prabhu and wished him and the team and said she would come to fulfill them while former CM Kalaignar Karunanidhi too wished him and requested that they show him the film.
