Shakeela is back!

After being seen as an oomph girl, and playing herself in numerous movies, Shakeela is back on screen with Aasami. Directed by Aandal Ramesh, the film is ready ‘poli saamiyar’.A source says, “There are several men who claim to have power bestowed upon them by God, and cheat the general public. This film will care for one such poli saamiyar. Shakeela plays a swamin who cheats the general public by claiming to have the ability to seem into future and solve everyone’s troubles. How Goddess herself decides to show Shakeela a lesson forms the remainder of the tale. The film also has Santhanabarathi and Pandu within the lead. There’s a tender girl who plays the most important role within the film – that of unveiling to the arena that Shakeela is a imposter.”

For a unique song, an enormous statue (101 ft) of ‘Amman’ was erected in Puducherry. “All the normal instruments, including pampai and udukkai, were utilized by artists for this song, with the intention to be some of the highlights of the film. Sivashankar master makes a guest appearance on this number, Ulagalum Omkari….,” the source adds.

The source continues, “The film will release on August 3 (within the month of Aadi, considered special by ‘Amman’ devotees), and can be a treat for all those spiritually and religiously oriented.”
