Amy Jackson replaces Samantha in Shankar’s I

British actress Amy Jackson, who made her acting debut in Madrasapattinam, seems to have bagged a biggie. The new and happening girl is probably going to switch Samantha in Shankar’s forthcoming movie I.The buzz within the industry says that Amy Jackson is without doubt one of the contenders to play the feminine lead in I. The makers of the film have short-listed a couple of names and Amy’s name is prominent among them. It's said that a call from Shankar’s office was made but nothing have been finalised yet. At the other end, Amy is currently filming her other movie Thaandavam, that's also a Vikram starrer film.

Recently, Samantha, who had agreed to pair up with Vikram in I, walked out of the film as a result of her ill health and returned her advance amount to Aascar Ravichandran. However, it needs to be noted that the actress has also lost Mani Ratnam’s Kadal for a similar reason.

I is a romantic-thriller, which has AR Rahman’s music, PC Sriram’s cinematography, also features Santhanam, Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi, Ramkumar (Nadigar Thilakam Sivaji Ganesan’s eldest son) and others. It's produced by Aascar Ravichandran.
