The actress’ first Hindi debacle hits theatres again within the city prior to her Billa 2 releaseShe’s waiting for her film with Thala Ajith that's set to release in May. And it seems like former Miss India Parvathy Omanakuttan was slowly becoming more popular in Chennai. Though her first Hindi flick, United 6, failed miserably on the box office, it sounds as if the actress’ increasing recognition here has made them release this movie ahead of Billa 2 hits theatres.
Ask the producer of Billa 2, Sunir Kheterpal, if this may affect his film or the actress’ career prospects and he states, “United 6 is a two-year-old Hindi film. Why wouldn't it affect Billa 2? We're introducing Parvathy on this flick in Tamil. And in actual fact Billa 2 is ready Ajith and his life before he became Billa and never about what Parvathy did before she was selected for this film. We auditioned greater than 30 prospects and selected her in line with requirements of the nature she has to portray. Everyone will know why after the film releases.”
Contrary to popular belief, Billa 2 isn't the first Tamil flick to be signed by the model-actress. In fact, in May 2010, the pooja for the Tamil film she first signed, Uma Maheswaram, was held in Chennai. Parvathy was signed directly to play the lead opposite a newcomer named Mani. However, the film didn’t take off for reasons unknown.
