The buzz within the industry is that K V Anand is ready to launch the audio of his Maattrraan, which has music by Harris Jayaraj, in Singapore on August 9. With this, the Suriya-starrer will join the list of films, including Enthiran, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya and Manmadhan Ambu (in a cruise), which has had its audio released in a foreign country. While Anand says that plans haven’t been firmed up yet, he admits he’s taking a look at Singapore as an option for the launch. Anand says, “We’ll need an auditorium that may seat a minimum of 10, 000 people. We're currently considering several locations in Singapore, but nothing was firmed up yet. We have to consider several criteria, including procuring visa. But yes, the audio could be launched before the primary week of August.”
The director says that greater than shooting Suriya as a conjoined twin, canning his flashback scenes proved to be a tricky task. “We wanted a newborn conjoined twin who would resemble Suriya for the flashback scenes. Several parents wrote to me with photos in their kids, and we shortlisted six out of them. We did trial shoots before getting into for the general shoot because both the children wouldn’t behave the similar way at any given time. For a six-second scene, we needed to watch for two whole days, as we wanted to get the youngsters within the mood.”
