Well, not in truth but for some action sequences for the multilingual film Chandra produced and directed by Roopa Iyer. The pretty actress, who's described by many as a very good dancer, trained herself intensively in ‘Kalari’ fight under the able guidance of Sagar Aasan for a stretch of 2 months. Ravi Varma, the stunt director, in coordination with the creative thoughts of director Roopa Iyer created an idea of the ‘Kalari’ within the type of choreography. The unit sources say that because the director herself have been a practitioner of this mixture of arts, it became easy to bring the most efficient out of Shriya Saran.
