Shriya in action mode

It’s time for action for Shriya, as she is prepared to accomplish some high-volatile stunt scenes for her forthcoming Chandra. The recently-canned Kalari sequence is only one among them.We had recently reported how Shriya was thinking about performing a Kalari fight within the film. Director Roopa had then said, “We shot the sequence near a monument in Nandi Gram in Bangalore for over two days. This scene comes at a juncture when Shriya, who plays a princess, signals Prem, a master in Kalaripayattu, for a duel. It’s more romantic than aggressive, and the 2 actors have done a really perfect job.”

A source says, “She received training in Kalari under the able guidance of Sagar aasan for a stretch of 2 months. Choreographer Ravi Varma and Roopa Iyer created a pleasing concept for this sequence.”
