Director KV Anand’s Surya and Kajal Agarwal starrer film Maatraan has done good business with its distribution rights in South Indian languages. The film’s Tamil distribution rights has been acquired by Eros International production house for an enormous sum.Distribution rights for Andhra Region has been procured by producer Bellamkonda Suresh for a sum of Rs 17 crores. Mandya Srikanth had bough the rights for distributing it in Karnataka region for 4 crores, while the Kerala rights has been sold out for three crores.
This makes a complete sum of Rs 24 crores for the distribution rights business in other languages excluding Tamil. Maatraan has writer duo Subha’s script work, Harris Jayaraj’s music, Anthony’s editing and S. Sounder Rajan’s cinematography. The film may be released at the 19th of September, 2012.
