The Telugu theatrical rights of Vijay-AR Murugadoss film Thuppakki has successfully been bagged by Sobha Rani of SVR Media.The amount is rumored to be 15 crores, that's said to be a highest-ever paid amount for Vijay’s dubbed Tamil movie.
This film is the second one biggest film distributed by SVR Media after Kamal Hassan’s Dasavatharam. We hear that the film is getting such notice as AR Murugadoss also had some success in Telugu together with his previous ventures.
Though Thuppakki’s title continues to be a issue, the film which has Kajal Aggarwal playing the feminine lead is looked upon in Telugu as Kajal has an even market there.
The action-thriller produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu, has cinematography by Santosh Sivan, which was predominantly shot in Mumbai, where Vijay is alleged to be playign an encounter specialist. The film is being aimed as a Diwali 2012 release and the audio is anticipated to be released in September.
