Shruti’s filmmaking dreams

Shruti Haasan entered the film world first as a singer and composer. And the actress has always said that she believes music to be her first muse, in relation to films.The actress, who's currently working at releasing a brand new album, was dabbling so much at writing music. The actress, like most of her colleagues, is an self-confessed insomniac and seems to get most of her composing done within the night.

The actress recently revealed another side to her creative streak, where she wrote on her micro-blogging that she is excited by writing a movie story. She wrote, “Insomnia is my blessing and my curse. I’m awake writing more music, can’t wait till I'VE the courage to jot down a film.”

The actress, who has grown up watching the industry and the way it works, it seems, has always had the inclination towards filmmaking and script-writing. And this was also validated in her father Kamal Haasan’s recent interview, where he confessed that he always thought that Shruti can be taking on filmmaking versus this other daughter Akshara.
