Vijay’s golden gesture

Ilayathalapathy Vijay celebrated his birthday recently together with his fans and well-wishers. The philanthropist that he is, the actor even visited government hospitals and gifted gold rings to newborns.A source says, “Every year on his birthday, Vijay spends some quality time with kids in hospitals and houses. This year, he visited a maternity hospital and gifted gold rings to the youngsters who were born on his birthday. He had instructed his welfare association to do the similar in a minimum of 30 hospitals within the districts in Tamil Nadu.”

The source adds, “Vijay had clearly instructed his fans and association members to delight in philanthropic activities like distributing books and other study materials to students. His father, director S A Chandrashekar, were overseeing the activities.”

We hear that the actor had told his friends and family to maintain his celebration simple, and it’s learnt that he spent the remainder of the day shooting for Thuppakki.
