In the history of Indian cinema, now we have heard of instances where actors keep their directors and producers waiting, be it for dates or at the location. But Dhanush was apparently faced with a distinct situation while shooting in Namibia for Bharathbala’s Mariyaan. The actor was all prepped up and waiting to shoot, but Bharathbala was preoccupied with canning sequences with other artists. And he seems to have kept Dhanush waiting!
A source as regards to the unit claims, “The unit was shooting outdoors in Namibia, and in step with the unique schedule, Dhanush needed to shoot for his portions that day. He got ready and came to the positioning on time. However the director was busy and didn’t inform Dhanush concerning the change in plan. After an extended wait, the actor stomped off the sets.”
We hear that Dhanush then told the unit hands that he had to be informed by Bharathbala himself concerning the schedule for the day. The source adds, “He then told the director that he was an equally big star in Tamil Nadu!”
Meanwhile, the following schedule of the film may be held in a village (Neeradi) in Kanyakumari, for which Dhanush has to grow a thick handlebar moustache. Neither the actor or his spokesperson were available for comment on the time of going to press.
