Enthused by the exceptional success of the technologically upgraded Sivaji Ganesan’s ‘Karnan’, which has completed 100 days, All-India Sivaji Ganesan Fans Association president K.V. Bhuminathan has bought the rights of ‘Paasamalar’ featuring Nadigar Thilagam, Gemini Ganesan and Savithri.The black and white film was released in 1961, that may be 51 years ago. Even today the film is mentioned. It was a super portrayal of the affection and affection between brother and sister (Sivaji and Savithri). People who watched the film would say a brother and sister should emulate the ‘Paasamalar’ siblings. Kannadasan’s songs and Aarur Das’s dialogues within the film are memorable.
As ‘Karnan’, this 197-minute film could be renewed in digital format with advanced visual and sound effects and re-released.
Sivaji fans have made an appeal that the veteran actor’s other films like ‘Pudiya Paravai’, ‘Vasantha Maligai’ and ‘Deivamagan’ must also be resurrected and re-released..
