The audio of actress Lakshmy Ramakrishnan’s maiden directorial venture Aarohanam was launched with much fanfare and several other industry’s bigwigs — including legendary filmmakers K. Balachandar and Sethumadhavan, were present.Speaking at the occasion, Mysshkin, who addressed Lakshmy as his second mother, spoke about how he roped in Lakshmy for a vital role in his film Yuddham Sei. “Actually, I wrote the nature for Nadhiya. After narrating the script, I told her that the role needed her to tonsure her head.
She smiled and said that lets use a wig. I didn’t agree because the scene was to be shot live. One day, Lakshmy who was to do a small role in YS, came to me and asked if she could give the role a try.
The only thing she insisted on was that she have to be convinced that the nature required a ‘mottai’. The remainder you've already witnessed onscreen. I MIGHT say that Lakshmy was the protagonist of YS, and never Cheran.”
Music director K has composed the tracks for Aarohanam. The film also marks the return of ace actress Saritha’s sibling Viji Chandrashekar in a central character role.
