Prabhu Deva has more media attention to his name than another superstars in south Indian films today.
The mighty talented, reticent man who prefers to do his work quietly is a superstar in his own way. In an industry that thrives on double speak and saccharine chatter, the dancing legend prefers to maintain a low profile and work. No overtly friendly overtures towards the media or grabbing headlines.
He celebrates his birthday today (April 3) and it's double whammy for the man, as he's performing live with the International pop diva Katy Perry and essentially the most glamourous, hot ‘n’ happening Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Priyanka and Kareena on the IPL inauguration in Chennai.
And yesterday, Prabhu who was rehearsing in Chennai flew to Mumbai for a couple of hours to be present on the trailer launch of his forthcoming film Rowdy Rathore produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali at an open maidan at Worli in Mumbai.
Despite the presence of stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, the gang went gaga over Prabhu Deva. Prabhu on public demand was asked to turn his dance moves. Prabhu danced with Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha because the crowd applauded his act with claps and whistles and cheers.
