Director A M R Ramesh’s Veerappan biopic ‘Vana Yuddham’ has consistently faced trouble since its launch – be it the deceased Veerappan’s wife Muthulakshmi crying foul or the newest with Nakkeeran Gopal imposing a stay order at the film. However, the film has now been cleared of these kind of allegations.“On Wednesday, the stay order at the film was suspended. Nakkeeran Gopal had alleged that we were available in the market to tarnish his image during the film. But, we haven’t done such a thing and the court has dismissed the order,” says Ramesh.
Ramesh’s film has Kishore playing Veerappan while Arjun, Vijayalakshmi, Suresh Oberoi, Shikha and the director himself play pivotal roles.
“I’ve given an undertaking that anybody who has concerns about my film tarnishing their image is welcome to view it after the censoring, before its release. We’re not here to harm anyone; we’ve made a movie and that i stand by my story,” he says.
