Amala Paul bags a plum role

At a time when speculations are running high that Amala Paul has shifted her interest to Tollywood, here's excellent news for the svelte beauty’s fans.The buzz is that the Mynaa girl was prompted board for a film that has Jayam Ravi because the male lead.

The film is to be directed by Samudhrakani and produced by Vasan Visual Ventures, which made films like Boss Engira Bhaskaran and Naan Kadavul.

Apparently, the makers initially opted for the sizzling Nayanthara to star within the bi-lingual (Tamil-Telugu).

This didn’t quite figure out because the latter reportedly demanded an exorbitant remuneration — though a source from the production house maintains that they couldn’t sign Nayan for the film only because accommodating her dates proved to be an enormous problem.

Amala enjoys an excellent market in Andhra post her Love Failure success and it's learnt that she is charging a minimum of `80 lakhs for a bilingual.

The same source did confirm that negotiations with Amala were occurring and the finer aspects were being worked out. “We will finalise her in a few days,” he reveals.
