Deva hails kabaddi now

While all the nation is gearing up for the IPL cricket matches, here's Deva, the preferred K’town music composer, who has get a hold of a music video that pays tribute to our local sport Kabaddi.He has composed a track in praise of the Indian Kabaddi team that won the arena Cup recently, that is to be aired by a TV channel on a show titled Kalakal Kabaddi.

Apart from singing the peppy number, Deva has appeared at the video and shaken a leg in Bobby’s choreography.

The lyrics, written by Vivega go like this — Sehwag, Tendulkar, Dhoni, ellarayum marandhuputtu konja neram va ni… Kabaddi aadudhappa malligai poo meni (Forget the likes of Sehwag, Tendulkar, Dhoni and are available to play Kabbadi…).

The composer, who has given several hit songs for Superstar Rajinikanth, told DC, “I have turned down many opportunities to behave in films or music videos within the past.

But the instant the makers asked me if I'D appear in this video, I agreed with none hesitation. That’s because I'M our traditional game”. The video, which was shot in seven days, was released with thousands of Kabaddi players from across sixteen districts attending the event.
