Vijay to shake a leg with Akshay Kumar

The Ilayathalapathy will soon be seen in a Hindi film, shaking a leg with the Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar, in a different song to be filmed by director Prabhu Deva for Rowdy Rathore.Confirming the news, the choreographer-turned-director said, “I’d met Vijay recently and asked him if he’d have an interest in dancing for a brief sequence in my Hindi flick. And, to my surprise, he instantly agreed. It’s an excellent gesture on his part.” Interestingly, director Prabhu Deva had grooved for a small segment within the opening song (Pokkiri Pongal…) of Vijay’s ‘Pokkiri’.

The ‘Rowdy Rathore’ song might be filmed in Mumbai today, as Vijay is shooting for his AR Murugadoss-directed ‘Thuppaki’ there.

Will Vijay be seen with Akshay Kumar inside the song? “Oh no, it’s a really perfect gesture on his part, but I can’t trouble him an excessive amount of. He’ll be sharing screen space with Akshay for a brief segment only,” informs Prabhu.
