Suresh prepared for small screen innings

When his film ‘Aahaa’ released, it was appreciated by many for its cuteness and feel-good factor. And now, director Suresh Krissna hopes to recreate the similar magic at the small screen to boot together with his upcoming teleserial, titled ‘Aahaa’.“The story was written to be made right into a film,” reveals Suresh, who has directed superhit films like ‘Annamalai’ and ‘Baasha’, “However, when a TV channel approached me with a suggestion to make it for the small screen, it stumbled on as a good suggestion as there's a big audience for this medium to boot. Also, a few of the serials are tear-jerkers and ‘Aahaa’ could be different because it may have a lot of humour and be made similar to a film.”

The serial, which revolves around a joint family, may have songs in addition! “They’ve been tuned by Karthik Raja,” he adds, “I hope this subject clicks at the small screen!”
