Anushka offered only multi-starrers?

She could be one of the crucial top-ranking actresses in Tollywood, but in Tamil, Anushka appears to be doing only multi-heroine subjects. Consider this: her line-up in Tamil includes ‘Singham 2′ (with Hansika), ‘Thaandavam’ (with Amy Jackson and Lakshmi Rai) and ‘Alex Pandian’ (with Nikita Thukral).Though her movie with Suriya was a commercial success, the actress went directly to do films that had her sharing screen space with other stars. This has raised many an eyebrow within the industry. Actresses who've are available after her like Hansika, Richa and Deeksha have all wangled single-heroine projects. Was this successful actress not being offered solo-heroine films and if so, why? Do producers not think she’s commercially viable or is she deliberately choosing such projects?

A source says, “While Anushka might need pulled it off as a single heroine in lots of films, her priority while taking note of a narrative isn't that. She pays attention to how the tale is taken forward and the way her character travels in it. She’s not too nosy in regards to the other female characters within the film and who’s playing them.”

Apparently, the offers she have been getting are just multi-starrer projects and so she’s decided to benefit from it.

Maybe to compensate, she has accepted Selva’s ‘Irandaam Ulagam’ during which she reportedly plays a double role. Adds the source, “Selva is a master filmmaker in Kollywood and does full justice to the characters in his films and Anushka is raring on her performance on this film and the way it’ll be received by audiences.”

Now we’ll need to wait and watch whether this flick may also help advance her career in Kollywood.
