Sony Music has got the audio rights to Mani Ratnam’s Kadal. They've managed to snatch it from Gemini Music whose parent company Gemini Film Circuit are marketing the film .Ashok Parwani, Head South, Sony Music said, “We are more than pleased to be related to this type of magnificent project and to work with Mani Sir. We go along way with A R Rahman and it's our 3rd project with him this year. We're confident music enthusiasts will appreciate the music up to the film.”
Parwani also added that they will release four albums of AR Rahman in 2012 / 2013. The market buzz is that Sony Music had paid an exceptional Rs 2 Crore for the audio rights, though Sony spokesperson refused to divulge figures.
