A R Rahman in a cameo?

Actor Biju Menon is popping co-producer for director Shajoon Kariyal’s new tale of 5 friends. While the actor plays a percussionist from A R Rahman’s troupe within the film, sources say the team is hoping to rope within the music maestro for a cameo too.“It’s too early to discuss that because as of now, we do intend to do something of that kind. We're looking to sign him up for a cameo,” informs Sachi, the scriptwriter for the film.

Incidentally, the music director for the film is Deepak Dev, who has worked with Rahman on projects like Rhythm and Thenali.

“The story is set five friends, played by Biju Menon, Lal, Suresh Krishna, P Sukumar and Sunil Babu. This can be a full-fledged comedy, though, it can't be considered slapstick,” says Shajoon. All of the story is alleged to be about an incident that spans over two days. “Biju’s wife, within the film, plays the most important role here. The ruckus she creates on New Year’s Eve forms the fundamental plot,” explains Sachi.
