Mahath’s runway jitters

It looks as if Mahath continues to be as nervous when he faces the audience, despite having debuted in a blockbuster.The actor made a debut of a special sorts this time, as he walked the runway. He candidly admits that he was just about being a nervous wreck when he needed to walk the ramp at his dear friend Anusha Dhayanidhi’s high-profile event recently.

“It was my first time as a showstopper and that i was probably the one newcomer within the entire lot. Top actors and leading models including Siddharth, Arya, Jiiva, Sharva, Pooja Hegde, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Nargis Fakhri and Sonia Aggarwal were walking for Anusha. And that i was breaking out into sweat on the considered waving and sashaying alone at the ramp!” recalls Mahath.

He continues, “I’d reached the venue with Siddharth earlier, and was seeking to recover from my nervousness. But, the entire while, images of me tripping at the ramp or forgetting my cue kept playing in my head.”

However, the Mankatha actor says he was glad he had good friends to assist him overcome his nervousness.

“Siddharth and Parvathy encouraged me and gave me walk casually. Arya, Jiiva and Anusha kept pulling my leg, telling me they'd tease me if I tousled at the ramp. I smiled only when I was finally done with my part,” he says, heady with relief.

As a nice surprise, Mahath was some of the few guys who received the loudest cheers from the audience. Speak about beginners’ luck!
