Vijay Antony’s special day

Vijay Antony has made a slightly huge leap from music director to an actor (a hero at that). And, he's going to be awaiting the decision when his debut film as hero – ‘Naan’ hits theatre today.The young musician, for whom it will likely be the 25th film as a music director, can be hoping that his maiden attempt at facing the camera is a successful one. With movies nowadays finding it tough to make a mark on the box-office, so much can be riding on ‘Naan’ for Vijay Antony as his wife (Fathima) is producing it. The film is directed by Jeeva Shankar and contours a slew of actors including Roopa Manjari, Anuya, Vibha, Siddarth and Vijay Victor among others.

The director, on his part, said that Vijay Antony has done an effective job in front of the camera and pins lot of hope at the film coming good.Apart from ‘Naan’, there could be lot of expectations about ‘Attakathi’ that is releasing on Independence Day. The storyline is claimed to be rather interesting and the movie is directed by Ranjith, a former assistant of Venkat Prabhu. Newcomers Dinesh and Swetha play the lead roles.
