Adventure is an inevitable a part of shooting in exotic locales. Shopping, sight-seeing and fine dining are passé so far as actors are concerned. They need to feel the adrenaline rush if a possibility presents itself. And Taapsee did just that. While shooting in Ladakh, she gave river rafting a shot.
Taapsee was in Ladakh for a month shooting for her films. “How am i able to be in Ladakh and never be adventurous? The valley is understood for rafting and that i needed to take day out to check out it,” she gushed.
“We had an afternoon off, from work and my unit and that i decided to get a bit adventurous. That’s how we hopped right into a raft and enjoyed the entire experience.
We rafted for 15 km after an instructor taught us find out how to row. We needed to placed on life jackets too,” she said. “There were seven members within the raft. I sat right within the front and it was an incredible experience.”
While there are a couple of places within the country where you may benefit from the sport, Ladakh is for all adrenaline junkies who're excited about rafting. “Rishikesh is for the primary timers because the currents aren't that strong and there aren’t many whirlpools within the river.
But Ladakh has one of the crucial strongest currents, sharpest rocks and really strong whirlpools,” she added excitedly. Not only did Taapsee benefit from the ride, she was also quite a hero as she saved a few of her fellow adventurers. “There were some foreigners who were also rafting.
Their raft just toppled and the currents were so strong that we needed to save them. We took on all of the eight members onto our rafts.
It was scary to look all that happen right in front of our eyes, but we needed to do it. My make-up artiste, who didn't include us for the ride, recorded the entire thing.
This is one my most memorable moments and now that we've got recorded it on tape, I'M certain to watch it again and again,” she said.
