Etho Seithai Ennai Movie Online – Review

Synopsis: Arjun (Shakkthi) falls for Shalini (Liya) to start with sight. Initially, Liya resists his advances, but later falls for his charms. When Liya’s uncle Nambi (Anand), a dreaded goon, gets to understand in regards to the relationship, he makes life hell for Arjun.Movie Review: To maintain cliches out of a romantic movie is a tricky task. Yet, the movie may also be made interesting if the treatment of the topic is different, like what Saravanan did in Engaeyum Eppodhum last year. Etho Seithai Ennai however sticks to the old formula, and sadly the similar treatment too – boy falls in love with rich girl, her uncle is a dreaded goon and opposes their affair, and it’s a fight to the finish.

Director Bosser does nothing to make the treatment refreshing and Etho Seithai Ennai finally ends up as something that may be given a pass. The pacing is uneven and with Arjun taking over greater than the primary half to provoke Shalini, this can be a lesson in patience. Music by Ganesh Kumar is pedestrian; when a song by students about how great their college life is is ready to a rhyme, it appears like a mocktail gone wrong.

To add to this, Shakkthi, seeking to make a comeback after the failure of Attanayagan, fails to impress, though Liya and Anand pop out okay. John Vijay appears only in a few scenes and gives some entertainment, but is basically wasted.

Etho Seithai Ennai when translated means “you did something to me”, and it certainly does. It bores.
