Rajini sends in his wishes

Vikram, son of Prabhu and grandson of Sivaji Ganesan, is prepared to make his debut in Kollywood with Kumki. Directed by Prabhu Solomon, the film has Vikram playing a rural guy who tames elephants. Now that the film is sort of complete, the makers have grand plans to launch the audio of the film, which has music by Imman, on July 26. While Kamal Haasan will release the audio of the film, Suriya may be receiving it. Except the two, several other top stars within the industry may be making their presence felt at the big day.

Now, it was expected that Rajinikanth, a self-confessed fan of Sivaji and a pricey friend of Prabhu, would also grace the occasion. However, we hear that Rajini has instead recorded a byte wishing Vikram, which he's going to be sending across.

A source says, “Rajinikanth has always wished well for Vikram. He has done several films with Prabhu and has even shared screenspace with the Nadigar Thilagam. He desired to be present on such a very powerful day, but change in plans appear to have upset his schedule. Now, he isn't capable of personally make it to the development. So, he has recorded a byte wishing Vikram and his crew and his family luck for the success of the film. The clip may be played on the audio launch!”
