Diana Penty in Biriyani?

The latest buzz is that model-turned-actress Diana Penty, who became the toast of town post her performance in Cocktail, could be seen in Kollywood soon. She is being considered by director Venkat Prabhu for taking part in some of the lead roles in his flick, Biriyani.A source with regards to the unit reveals, “The film, that is a suspense thriller, has two heroines. While Richa have been finalized as one of the vital heroines, the director is asking to cast a comparatively fresh face because the other heroine. Some of the several names being considered, Diana Penty features at the top of the list. Her performance in her Bollywood venture was much raved about and the unit is raring on casting her opposite Karthi within the film.”

Interestingly, Venkat had earlier toyed with the theory of roping in either Parineeti Chopra, Ileana or Samantha within the lead.

The source continues, “The official agreement is yet to be signed on with the solid. Even supposing the film was officially launched recently, shooting will commence only from next month. By then, all of the cast and crew can be in place. Venkat is tweaking the script now, and Yuvan has already set to work at the music.”
