Rajinikanth records Rahman’s Hindi song

For the primary time in his acting career, Rajnikanth recorded a Hindi song composed and co-sung by AR Rahman in London for his daughter Soundarya’s film Kochadaiyaan.The film’s producers Dr Murli Manohar and Eros International were considering the superstar singing the song in Hindi after he lent his voice to the unique Tamil version.

‘Rajini and Rahman came together to render Rahman’s composition. In Hindi. Rajni’ji had earlier sung the theme song for the Tamil version of Kochadaiyaan.

But that was an absolutely different song. You have to take into account that the Hindi version of Kochadaiyaan is completely independent of its Tamil version. And so are the songs, Dr Manohar said.
