OK OK collection overtakes Mankatha?

Producer-distributor turned actor Udhayanidhi Stalin is clearly over the moon with the box-office response to his Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (OKOK) which released last month. The film, which pits the debutant hero opposite Hansika, have been doing reasonably well in any respect the centres way to the sunshine humour that's prevalent within the film. Comedian Santhanam’s performance within the film is cited as a tremendous cause of the film’s success.

Music by Harris Jayaraj was okay but not one of the songs went directly to become chart-busters. Within the meantime, Udhaya has pop out with an enchanting piece of data concerning the film. He has claimed that the selection of audiences who've watched the film, which was released in additional than 400 screens all around the world, has crossed the viewership of his earlier production, the Ajith-starrer Mankatha.

The film, that's into its fifth week, has reportedly registered a gentle dip in collections within the rural areas. Even the collections within the urban localities have also recorded a decline as another humour-filled film Kalakalappu has released over the weekend. Directed by Sundar C, the film stars the likes of Vimal, ‘Mirchi’ Siva, Anjali, Oviya and Santhanam.

Currently on tour in Europe, Udhayanidhi has said that “I have received information from reliable sources which say that the collection of audiences who've flocked the theatres in Tamil Nadu to observe OKOK has crossed the numbers which saw Mankatha in theatres and is nearing the record registered by 7am Arivu,” and added that it was not important as to who was the ‘reason’ for the film’s success and said that it mattered as to how much the film collected on the box-office.
