Lingusamy is planning to remake his Arya-Madhavan starrer Vettai in Hindi. Regarding this he had approached Asin to reprise the role of Sameera Reddy, who played the wife of Madhavan and elder sibling of Amala Paul within the film. But Asin has turned down the offer.
Asin said, “Right now I’m not able to soak up films that experience multiple heroines. I definitely cannot do the role of an elder sister. And that i even have some date issues,” justifying her decision to show down Lingusamy.
Gautham Menon’s Photon Kathaas Productions, by which AR Rahman is an advisor, is foraying into TV content. They've tied up with tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi’s GloboSport to supply Sitaara, a reality TV show for South India’s next top actress.
Sitaara might be produced in all four South Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu,Kannada and Malayalam). Photon Kathaas in an announcement released on London Stock Exchange’s AIM exchange, where it's listed has stated it.
The statement quoted the company’s CEO Venkat Somasundaram as saying, “It is a transparent example of our stated objective of manufacturing and exploiting adiverse portfolio of South Indian content across multiple formats and languages.”"

He says that it's his original script and that it's going to be a mass entertainer. But he hasn’t given up the speculation of creating the Telugu super hit in Tamil. He admits that he was getting offers from both Kollywood and Bollywood to remake the film. But he hasn’t taken any decision on that front.

It is bureaucratic. Kamal Haasan’s much awaited thriller Vishwaroopam, directed and co-produced by the actor, could be showcased on the 13th Videocon IIFA Weekend in Singapore.Vishwaroopam, a bi-lingual in both Hindi and Tamil, is considered one of Kamal’s biggest projects till date.
The Hindi version, titled Vishwaroop could be unveiled on June 8 on the Raffles City Convention Centre, giving the media key glimpses from the film.

Actor and director SJ Suryah was last seen in Shankar’s Nanban playing a very powerful character.
But now the actor is back in an entire fledged role in a movie titled Isai.
The first look of the film was released recently, which shows Suryah as a pop star playing the guitar.
The film stars Suryah with newbie Savithri in conjunction with Prakash Raj, Ganja Karuppu and MS Bhasker.
Sounder Rajan handles the camera while Antony edits. The excitement is that the multi tasker that he is, SJ Suryah plans not to only do do the lead role in Isai, but additionally direct the film and compose the music as well!
The genre is touted to be that of a musical thriller and can go at the floors on the month end.

Last evening STR flew to Hyderabad for the birthday bash of his friend Telugu actor Manoj Manchu. STR later tweeted that he had a “blast on the party and he was going back to Chennai.”
The star who was in Hong Kong later caught up with some Tamil films in Chennai. STR tweeted, “Was just catching up with recent Tamil films which released this year and loved Kadhalil Sodhapuvadhu Yeppadi (KSY). Had such a lot fun.”
