As many as 71 new faces are cast the town Lights Entertainment production ‘Aayiram Muthangaludan Thenmozhi’, directed by Shanmugaraj.The hero and the heroine are also new faces and they're Venkatesh and Akshara. Lawrence Going To making ‘Muni’ part 3

Actor/choreographer/director Lawrence Raghavendra has set to work on a 3rd sequel to his acclaimed film ‘Muni’.

Lawrence directed and acted in ‘Muni’ and its part 2 titled ‘Kanchana’. Both won appreciation.After their release, Lawrence has taken up a Telugu venture ‘Rebel’. Besides directing it, he has also composed music for this film. Will probably be released in June.

He plans to launch his Muni – part 3 in April. It will likely be in Tamil and Telugu. The title has not yet been decided.

Rahman performs at Oscars again

Los Angeles, Feb 27 (IANS) Indian composer A.R. Rahman performed on the 84th Academy Awards here as a part of the Oscar band in his third performance on the prestigious award ceremony.“Oscar sangamam – in case you are watching the Oscars live, catch our Oscar superband headed by Hans Zimmer perform tonight,” Rahman posted on his Facebook page for his fans.

He even posted an image with all members of the band, which performed throughout Sunday night’s ceremony.

Last year Rahman had sung his tracks from “127 Hours” on the Oscar ceremony.

In 2009, the 46-year-old performed for the primary time on the Oscar stage and within the same year he won two golden statuettes for best original score and best original song (“Jai ho”) for the movie “Slumdog Millionaire”.

Other performances on the ceremony also included Esperanza Spalding’s rendition of Louis Armstrong’s “What a beautiful world” as a tribute to the entertainers who died prior to now year.

There was also a performance by circus arts and street entertainment group Cirque du Soleil.
